Warblogger… [en]

Interesting and readable article of Anil’s on the transformation of a weblog. I remember hearing a lot about LGF post-9/11, visiting the weblog, and not liking it. I also remember thinking “I can’t recall having this reaction the first times I visited it…” (pre-9/11, that was).

I guess we all undergo change. I’m probably not writing the same kind of things I wrote two years ago—or am I?

Causons vaudois!

Rate Me on Eatonweb Portal
Oh, and I hate these “rate me” thingies so much: bad enh so so good excellent

15 minutes later – on second thoughts, the Eatonweb rating thingy isn’t that bad: it is actually a review system instead of a stupidly quantitative way of rating weblogs. If you have been feeling an urge to review this weblog, now would be the perfect time to click on one of the numbers above, and do it!

Standards in Business [en]

Some time ago, I mentionned vkit – a discussion group which has now evolved into a website: MACCAWS. They focus on giving tools and arguments for standards and accessibility, from the business point of view. There is not much on the site yet, but their wiki seems busy.

In particular, check out their BooksList and their ResearchLinks. Lots of great stuff in there already!

Pickle Jar Time Management [en]

I wanted to try yesterday, but I started out a bit late in the day. So I did it today.

I got up, spent 10 minutes or so figuring out my rocks for the day, jotted down a few pebbles, and got to work. By the time the evening had come I had studied for three hours and got a whole lot of other things done. And I hadn’t switched on my computer.

Let me know if Pickle Jar Time Management works for you too!

The idea is simple: take a pickle jar (your day), and fill it with rocks. It’s full now, isn’t it? Take a handful of pebbles and add them in too. You might have to shake the jar a little. See how they fit nicely between the rocks? You can fill the jar even more: gravel, sand, water…

Explorez!
