Hairy .htaccess Dreamhost WordPress Problem Solved!

[fr]

Résolution d'un problème qui m'a littéralement empoisonné mes vacances. Ouf.

[en]

Thanks to grimboy, my “parent” .htaccess now has two extra lines and looks like this (and the problem that has kept me awake for the last week is solved):

AddDefaultCharset OFF
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/membres.*$ [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/failed_auth.html$
RewriteRule ^.*$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php
</IfModule>
# END WordPress

Thanks so much!
