India Web [en]

This post started out small, but it is turning out to be a rather lengthy collection of India travel related links… : )

I did some research with Google and bumped into a number of sites containing travel logs (travelogues) of India.
I spent some time skimming through them. I read things I can relate to, others I disagree on. Some I know to be right, some I know to be wrong. But never mind. They all tell of a human experience similar to mine.
Almost all of them have pictures – but they load slowly, I must say.
Have a look for yourself!

India travelogues

Of course, it could go on for ever. Some meta-links:

This is not a “quality” listing. I haven’t explored each site in-depth. It is more of a starting point – but in any case, all the links presented here seemed to be promising in some way.

Awaiting your comments!

Jakob Nielsen Links [en]

Despite all the criticism I have heard/read lately on Jakob Nielsen, I have always found his alertbox articles very interesting.
Of course, one has to keep in mind that his standpoint is usability, not web design, and that it is therefore to be taken with a pinch of salt or two.

Here is a little collection of links I have gathered, mostly from his site, a few from other places.

Writing for the web

Other “website” stuff

Phew! I think that’s about it.
Remember, posting these links here doesn’t mean I adhere to everything the articles say. It means I think they are good reading.

Web Peeves and Nice Finds [en]

I’ve been going around a few sites this evening and last. A couple of things bug me:

  • thin grey Verdana text on black backgrounds
  • total lack of capital letters

Apart from that, two nice links I found recently.
First, my friend Mithun from Pune actually started a weblog, and at F2S too! Reading his Cerebral Emissions makes me feel “in touch”, much more than emailing – which neither he nor me manage to do very regularly.

Second, Tangerine Girl – pretty girl, pretty site. Her writing is refreshing, and I really like her pictures. I spent quite some time prowling around her gallery, and I don’t really do picture-gazing very often.
