Technical issues around social media. For the geekier-minded.
There we are at last: everything is up and running.
Welcome, new visitors, and take the time to have a look around!
As you probably have noticed, I’m having some trouble in getting the domain name servers to work properly.
If you don’t know what a “dns” is, don’t worry. It just means that instead of bringing up this site, my url sends poor visitors to a gandi error message.
It will be fixed soon *fingers crossed*. Thank you Angel.
If you are one of the lucky people able to access this site, you will see that apart from the design, little has changed from the old site. I’ve done away with some old stuff and I’m adding some new things (patience!), but mainly, it’s the same content in a new skin.
All the scripts are supposed to be working by now. Let me know if they bug you.
At last, I have redesigned.
As with any server, domain name, and design change, you can expect a little bit of tweaking in the days to come. Please let me know if you notice anything unusual.
Thanks to everbody who gave me a hand, be it by sending me screenshots, giving me advice on the layout, or helping me out with technical issues.
But most of all thanks to daniel, who encouraged me to redesign now, and who’s counselling and good advice prevented me from messing it all up again. He also did the little graphics you can see at the top of each page, as well as the redirect script which will catch any visitors to my old address and bring them safely here.
I wish you a pleasant journey through my pages, and hope that the new design will bring more pleasure to your reading.
Don’t forget to update bookmarks and links to climbtothestars.org!
Here is a screenshot of what poor daniel sees when he come here.
My apologies to all visitors who do not see this page more or less how I see it. I’m working to fix the problem.
My apologies to those of you who stopped by during these last few hours, while F2S was having FTP trouble, and were greeted with a broken page. All is back to normal now!
*sigh*
I’ve seen my site in Netscape 6.
I must have messed up my CSS somewhere.
I hope you Netscape users will forgive me. I’ll sort this out one of these next days.
I just noticed that I hadn’t written down the “tale” of my return trip to India. Maybe I’ll clean up the end of my logbook and add it…
Thanks a lot to the Rec.Travel Library for the linking!
Please pay them a visit to see what they have to offer…
Now I’m really going to have to go through this cleaning up of my “India” pages : )
Thanks to Daniel, I now have functional permalinks in my weblog.
