Comment Counting [en]

Finally, after days and days of sweating, I found the solution to the “comment counting” problem. Thanks a lot to all the kind people who looked into it.

Now you can all see that nobody adds any comments to my posts ; )

RIP Music Section [en]

I just realised that I forgot to mention I had killed the music section. If I want to suggest a music pick to you, I’ll do it here.

Apart from that, I’m not really happy with the look of my site. I’ve tried changing all the fonts to Verdana, but I’m not even sure it’s better. The size of my titles collides with my text.
Sure, teeny winsy fonts look much more “pro” – but I have such a hard time reading them that I can’t bring myself to put them on my site.

I know my site lacks graphics, I have been planning to put up some pictures for nearly a year and a half, now. Only before that, I need to sort my slides and scan them – as for creating graphics, forget about it: I can’t draw to save my life.

The “comments” feature is now functional (except it doesn’t show the number of comments on the link), so go ahead and use it as much as you please – I’ll be happy to read them comments, you know…

There – done with the whining. Though if you have any constructive solutions, I’d be glad to hear them!!

Comments Coming [en]

While checking out my “places” these last days I noticed a really cool “comments” feature in jo’s weblog.
I’m currently implementing it on my site, and I’m very happy it uses PHP – I love PHP! – so don’t worry if it takes a day or two to be functional…
Here is the code for these comments. More information at blogger discuss developers forum.

Offline [en]

I hardly go on the net these days. I’m overbooked, for one thing, and I don’t have a computer – for another.
I’m starting to miss India a little. Probably because Somak, Aleika, Akirno and Cali are coming over next week-end on their way to Birmingham.

Site

I’m seriously considering merging the music section with this main weblog. As far as I can see, it doesn’t really make any sense to keep it separate.
Maybe one of these next weeks when I find a computer and a little time…

Netscape Ph33r [en]

I have hopefully managed to fix the style sheet glitches. The other day, I had the chance to have a glimpse of my site through Netscape 4.5 on a 14-inch monitor.

Terrifying experience.

Archive Index [en]

The archive index is now functional. You can go and visit used logs as often as you like.

You should see a few changes around here in the next week or so, mainly a “writing” section that I am putting up for your eyes and minds.

L’IA générative, c’est ChatGPT, Claude et consorts. Ce sont des outils à qui on donne des instructions, et qui produisent en réponse du texte. Il y en a également à qui l’on donne des instructions, et qui produisent des images, du son, voir de la vidéo.
