bon, connection internet de retour @swisscom_care -- ça vaut bien la peine de fâcher les clients en disant d'attendre 48h

There are politicians who say if we just drill more, gas prices will come down,” Obama said. “What they don’t say is that we have been drilling more.” Drilling doesn’t change the fact, he said, “that we use more than 20 percent of the world’s oil and we only have 2 percent of the world’s oil reserves.

factandaphoto: The sign above is in English and Welsh. But the Welsh words do not, when translated, match the English. Rather, as explained by this BBC article, it means “I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated.” The sign maker misunderstood the translator’s “Out of Office” message to be the translation. Gosh, is that sign still up? I first saw this years ago.

clientsfromhell: Client: We need you to put a watermark on all of our photos for the website so that no one can steal them. Me: Okay. I’ll need the original photos in a digital format so I can start placing the watermark on them before I upload them onto the new site. Client: No, no. Just get online and take the photos from [competitor’s site]. Me: You mean the photos that have their name watermarked over them so that people can’t steal them? Client: Yes. Just photoshop out their watermark and then put our watermark on top. Me: That’s illegal. Client: No its not. Those photos are on Google. Anyone can use them.
