Heh. The first thing I thought before I finished reading your entire post was, “Gee, I don’t have an Orkut account anyway, so I could just enter some crap data here to pollute their database.”

If enough people did that, it could make these phishing scams a lot less useful. (”Enough” being defined as “everyone who knows it’s a fake makes a conscious effort to give out fake data.”)
