[...] I told you again more than six months ago how much I loved my ibook. Ever since my ibook moved in with me, I’ve become such an enthusiastic Apple user that my dad makes fun of me. I’ve turned my back on over a decade of faithful Windows use and even started recommending you to my friends. Over the last two years, a whole bunch of them have bought ibooks — or are now buying MacBooks. [...]

If you use iTunes correctly, there's no need to worry about file names. :)

Feed aggregator: NetNewsWire!

Install X11, gtk+, and then you can run Gaim. It does metacontacts in a clever way. :)

A disk image is a .dmg file. It's a bit like a .iso that's mounted by the computer.

Stephanie,

Congratulations! I have an iBook (w/Airport card), an eMac, and a mini iPod. I'm a Mac fiend.:-)

The back shortcut for Firefox is option + left arrow. To stop your dock icons from jumping just go to System Preferences => Dock => and then uncheck the box that says "animate opening applications". I don't think you need this DockDetox thing.

I second the motion about NetNewsWire.

No problem, Rashunda, I'll clean up the comments. Dock Detox keeps the icons from bouncing up and down when a program wants your attention. The "animate open applications" setting only has an impact on when you open applications (which doesn't bother me).

Congratulations. A picture along would the cat and the iBook would be perfect. Btw, here are some of the pictures from our trip. I finally put them up in separate albums, all neatly organised :) (Emails to your are bouncing back.)
