IRC can lead to strange discussions, which in turn can lead to interesting reading. See the schizophrenia index at Medline (a good online medical ressource, by the way) and in particular this good overall description of schizophrenia. In particular, note that schizophrenia is not the “Jekyll and Hyde” split-personality complex one commonly thinks it is.
