The new Mumbai-Pune Expressway is beautiful. I mean, it looks like a highway – a real one. To prove it, here is a collection of the panels you can find on it:
- Rainy season go slow
- Observe lane discipline [that was quickly lost when the traffic got a bit heavy]
- Stopping on expressway strictly prohibited [you bet!]
- Pedestrians, 2/3 wheelers, bullock carts and tractors forbidden on expressway [actually, now that I think of it, we didn’t see any bullock carts]
- Overspeeding and tyre bursting cause accidents – observe speed limit 80 km/h [no comment]
- Do not stop in tunnel

Haven’t really had the chance to ride on the expressway yet, but I’m
hoping to, soon, when we make that trip to Dehradun, which will probably
be via Bombay *no direct train availability to Delhi* 🙁
But I’m looking fwd to it ! 🙂
